You might be forgiven for thinking that Emily is like every other girl in the world, just someone else with a love of music and the theatre, who likes the look of pretty clothes and, if she had the money would spend a fortune on even prettier shoes, however, if you thought that was all there was about Emily you would be sorely mistaken.
Being brought up in an old mill town she saw her fair share of hard graft, but she had dreams and ambitions, she wanted to be an actress, and some how at the humble age of 16 she found herself sat next to the largest lightblub you've ever seen, "point that at that stage there, when the person moves, move the light" that was her introduction to follow spotting, a mere 10 minutes before some famous someone or other stepped out onto stage, was it fate, was she just in the wrong place at the right time?
Either way it appeared that her destiny was to change, she took to the life of a techie like a duck to water, from the humble followspot she became a noise boy (or is that girl?) and then dipped her toes into the turbulent waters of stage management and then the dizzy hights of the lampy... it brought all manner of geekyness out in her, and nowadays you can't mention anything to do with sound or lighting without her going slightly misty eyed...
She is currently at university studying to get her HND in technical theatre, as soon as she is free, she wants to return to the dark and safety that lies through the stage door.

Who I'd like to meet: I would love to say someone really intellectual, somneone that would make me look and sound like someone with depth and ambition, but at the moment I'm afraid I'm not sure...
Although, I'd love to meet the guy who will be in charge of recruiting all the staff for the lord of the rings musical, that I would love to do...
Why thankyoooou miss clegg. It was probably the most nerve inducing session I've ever done, the thought of millions of listeners hearing you live on air made me a bit shaky! You doing ok? xx
